FEB 7TH - GREY COOPER BLUES EXPERIENCE PLAN NEW ALBUM

Grey and Stevie will be visiting The Radar Rooms in Castleford to discuss with producer Simon Humphrey the prospect of recording the new album there.
Update to follow

FEB 3RD - REHERSALS JOINED BY ALI HEATH COOK

The band spent the whole day in rehearsal, revamping and fine tuning the existing core set. Steve and Mark worked out a terrific new drum and bass feature in Got To Find My Baby. Grey was leading the band in working out the minutae of the arrangements. Uncle turned up late mid-afternoon.

Tracks worked on were a new funk/blues vamp in Am (untitled)
I Done Somebody Wrong
Rain
Got To Find My Baby

Also, one of the singers in Love Party, Ali Heath Cook turned up around 5pm to rehearse in a new soul/blues song of Grey's called Dreaming (for a love that's true). This song is sounding hot, it is a 16 bar sequence in D which modulates to E. The word is that she may be performing this song live in the not too distant future!

After the rehearsal, the band were having a drink and were unexpectedly approached by an old promoter contact. He offered them a gig at The Harlequin on 24th February..

FEB 2ND - LIVE DEMOS AND NEW GIGS

After a long wait Doctor Sax got hold of demos of the live performance from The Nottingham House from last October. These are sounding surprisingly good and the word is that 3 of the tracks are good enough for release and inclusion on the website.

Tonight was the first gig of the new campaign and there was an excellent turn out at The Riverside. The band did something unusual in opening the set with Ain't That Too Much.
